Nothing beats a delicious and frothy smoothie for breakfast!
I love whipping up smoothies in the morning or even in the afternoon as a healthy pick me up.
There are endless smoothie concoctions to be made. And although I am a lover of my green smoothies, sometimes nothing hits the spot more than something chocolaty and fruity.
Enter the Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie! Whip this up for breakfast or serve to your kids as an after school treat.
I always make sure to add quality protein and fat to my smoothies. It’s easy to thrown a whole bunch of fruit into a blender, but then you’ve just created a sugary drink! Balance out the sugar in the fruit by combining it with protein (hemp, whey, brown rice protein) and some fat (nuts, seeds, hemp, chia, flax, almond butter)…you get the idea!
Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 scoop Organic Whey chocolate protein powder (or protein of your choice)
- 1/3 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups almond milk (or non dairy milk of choice)
- goji berries for topping (optional)
Directions:
Add all ingredients into blender, blend and enjoy!
