Flax and pumpkin are wonderful during your follicular phase(Days 1-14) to help support estrogen, while sunflower and sesame are great for progesterone during your luteal phase (Days 15-28+).

I love making my Chocolate Cherry Bomb Smoothie from my book, The 30-Day Hormone Solution. I add ground flax during days 1-14, and then switch it up to sesame for days 15-28. Easy peasy 🙌🏻

Your cycle length might be different, meaning when you ovulate will also be different. Track your cycle and consider incorporating the natural family planning method 👌

👉It’s Easter long weekend, which means some e 👉It’s Easter long weekend, which means some epic baking is about to go down! Kicking it off with this gooey Chocolate Chip Almond Butter Banana Bread 🍌Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:
3 small overripe bananas mashed
3 large eggs
1/2 cup almond butter 
1/4 cup monkfruit or coconut sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups almond flour
1/4 cup tapioca flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp sea salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a medium loaf pan with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the bananas, eggs, almond butter, sugar and vanilla and whisk until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour, tapioca flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gently stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips, leaving a few to sprinkle over the top of the loaf.
Transfer to the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes or until the loaf is deep golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool loaf on a wire rack, allowing to cool completely before slicing.

So what are the health benefits of gelatin?

You’re probably very familiar with the health benefits of bone broth. Bone Broth is nutrient dense because of the gelatin that is produced when you cook the bones. Gelatin is just cooked collagen. The amino acids in gelatin/collagen are incredibly healing for the body.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and plays a key role in numerous bodily functions. We hear a lot about the benefits of collagen for skin health, but it goes way beyond that…

— younger firmer skin
— supports joint health
— improves gut health and digestion
— builds and restores muscles
— promotes deeper sleep

Here’s my gut gummy recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh orange juice 
2 tablespoons good quality gelatin (I like @perfectsupplements. Use the code WELLNESSWITCH to save 10%)

Directions:
Pour half the orange juice into a saucepan and heat until almost boiling. In the other half of juice, sprinkle in the gelatin. Once your juice is hot, slowly pour this heated juice into the gelatin mix and whisk until all the gelatin has dissolved. Work + whisk quickly!

Pour into silicon moulds or a small tray and set in the fridge for 2 hours.

**I suggest using a cup with a spout on it so you can easily pour into your moulds.
**You can use any juice you prefer in place of orange

As someone that has struggled with Hashimotos, I c As someone that has struggled with Hashimotos, I can’t stress enough how important it is to eat a Whole Foods diet full of variety and to avoid/minimize your intake of certain foods.

Animal protein is rich in iron, fat soluble vitamins, omega 3’s (especially if it’s grass fed), B vitamins and a host of other nutrients that are essential for thyroid health, autoimmune and hormones👌

Iodine - I get mine from @seasnax - I’m kind of obsessed with them 🙈I don’t recommend iodine for hashimotos FYI, but including it in your diet is ok.

Zinc & selenium are crucial for converting T4 to T3 (your active thyroid hormone). You can get zinc from shellfish + pumpkin seeds and selenium from Brazil nuts 😋

Vitamin A is required for the activation of thyroid hormone receptors and one of the best sources is beef liver. I eat beef liver and also supplement with @perfectsupplements. Use the code WELLNESSWITCH to save 10% 👌

😬AVOID —> high intake of soy/tofu (some organic and sprouted is every now and again is ok), vegetable oils, fluoride, bromated flours (look for potassium bromate on the label), artificial sweeteners & chlorine. These can impact nutrient absorption and cause inflammation 👎
