This simple drink is not only delicious but provides the adrenals with minerals and vitamin C, which are often depleted under times of stress.

There are numerous ways to make the adrenal cocktail, but this is my fav 👆

I often drink one in the afternoon for a mid-day energy boost or in the morning to replenish electrolytes and support my cortisol rise.

As women head into their 40’s and peri-menopausa As women head into their 40’s and peri-menopausal years, there seems to be a common theme:

— weight gain
— fatigue
— lack of sleep
— changes in their menstrual cycle
— feeling stressed and anxious

Many of these symptoms show up because of our adrenals + thyroid. 

Stress impacts the adrenals, which slows down the thyroid. As the thyroid slows, we tend to notice shifts with our weight and we opt for more salads and eat less food in an effort to lose weight🙈 

If you want to support your thyroid and metabolism, you need protein!

Protein is responsible for nearly all of the work that is carried out in every cell. It is also responsible for the structure, function, and regulation of all organs, especially muscle! 

Muscle is the organ of longevity. Which is why it’s so important to get in adequate amounts of protein as we age. I’m finding many women are not getting in nearly enough. 

How much protein you need will depend on your goals and activity level. But at the very least, aiming for 30g at each meal is a good place to start.
