Non-Toxic Lemon Multipurpose Cleaner

Toxins are everywhere, whether we like it or not.

In our body care products, food, homes, in the air we breathe and in our house hold cleaning products.

When it comes to cleaning our house, not only should it be hassle free, but safe too! Between animals and kids licking, touching and coming into contact with just about everything, we should be extra cautious with the products we use in our home.

This is why I love using essential oils and making my own non-toxic cleaning products.

Not only is it safe and toxin free, but it’s cheap!

By using a few common household ingredients, you can whip up a multipurpose cleaner for your entire house and in turn, ditch the chemicals that are lurking in many common brands.

These chemicals enter into our blood stream through our skin and create internal chaos. From disrupting our hormones, to damaging the gut lining, to inflammation and overloading our liver, our bodies need to work extremely hard at eliminating these chemicals.

And our bodies need to do this everyday, all day. Every minute of every day our bodies (our liver in particular) needs to work hard to eliminate toxins. It’s a very intense and exhausting process, especially if you’re using toxic products and eating toxic food day in and day out.

Our livers can easily become overworked and overwhelmed.

But the good news is that my 21-Day Delicious Detox is launching on Wednesday September 9th (mark your calendars), and it contains a full 3 week meal plan and delicious recipes that help to support your liver, gently eliminate toxins and maintain optimal hormonal health. Food is healing and that’s just what this detox is all about. Healing your health and igniting your energy so you can take on the world (and all the toxins that come with it!).

Plus, by joining the 21-Day Delicious Detox, you’ll get access to my Essential Guide to Detoxing eBook which contains a ton of information and protocols for supporting gut health, optimizing liver health and truly understanding how detoxification works and what you can do everyday to support your body. It’s a thorough guide and contains many protocols you can easily include everyday.

Also, I’ll be gifting you with my Qualitarian Life ebook, which is a comprehensive guide that dives deep into how to optimize your diet, sleep, sex life and most importantly, it contains a detailed chapter on all things body care! Yup, I show you exactly how to create your own non-toxic body care products and household products, like laundry detergent, carpet cleaners, floor cleaners and so much more! detoxpromobooks

It’s crazy to me that there no laws requiring manufacturers of cleaning products to list harmful ingredients on labels or test them for safety. So it’s up to you to keep your home safe.

That’s why my non-toxic lemon multipurpose cleaner is amazing! It’s a natural disinfectant and can tackle many household messes!

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Ok… so I’ll admit it.

I’m pretty obsessed with hummus. Like all kinds.

Aside from just dipping Mary’s Jalapeño crackers into it (which I do often), it can easily be used for so many recipes.

I love spreading it on my toast and then topping it with a poached egg, or spreading it on my favourite raw sun-dried tomato wraps and adding in some roasted chicken and sliced veggies. Both are great recipe ideas for any meal of the day!

Plus, it’s easily transportable when travelling or heading out for an afternoon. Pack it into a container, chop up some veggies and you’re golden!

Bottom line, I love it.

With my 21-Day Delicious Detox launching in just a few more days, I wanted to provide you with a delicious and healthy detoxifying recipe that you can enjoy guilt free. And if you don’t happen to be “detoxing,” you can still enjoy this recipe and all of the healthy benefits.

Oh! and in case you missed my periscope where I share all about the important foods you need to include into your diet to support detoxification, you can catch it here.

So, moving onto those benefits, what are they?

Well… there’s plant based protein from chickpeas (great for balancing blood sugar), tons of vitamin C from red peppers (amazing for liver detoxification and skin health), fresh garlic (amazing for immune health and contains sulphur which is a detoxifying nutrient) and tahini paste (loaded with calcium which helps to strengthen your bones and ease PMS cramps).

Um… need I say more?

This hummus is da bomb and I think you’re gonna love it just as much as I do. It’s not just any hummus, it’s a roasted red pepper hummus and it rocks!

Ok, so, let’s get to it because I know you’re dying to make it and try it on some gluten free toast with poached eggs. Yup… I knew I sold you on that one 🙂

Total Time
10 min
Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup roasted red bell peppers (about 1 lb. peppers, roasted)
  2. 2 cans organic chickpeas/garbanzo beans (15 oz. each), drained and rinsed well
  3. 1/4 cup tahini paste
  4. 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  5. 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  6. 1 1/2 tsp crushed fresh garlic (or more to taste. *Roast for extra flavour!)
  7. 3/4 tsp smoked paprika (or more to taste)
  8. 1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt
  9. 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or more to taste)
  10. Warm water as needed
Instructions
  1. First, you need to roast some peppers. Alternatively you can used jarred peppers, just be sure it's free of GMO oils and additives. Otherwise, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay peppers on their sides, stems pointing sideways. Place in the oven and allow peppers to roast for 20 minutes. Remove baking sheet. Using tongs, give the peppers a half turn, then place back in the oven for another 20 minutes. Check to make sure the peppers have fully roasted. The skin should be charred and soft and the peppers should look slightly collapsed. If they don't look ready, let them roast for a few more minutes. When they're done, remove baking sheet from oven and let them cool.
  2. Once peppers have cooled, add them to your food processor, along with the chickpeas, tahini paste, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and spices.
  3. Pulse the ingredients for about 60 seconds, then process again until smooth. If mixture seems too thick, add warm water a tablespoon at a time and blend until desired consistency is reached. Taste the mixture and add more salt, lemon juice, cayenne or garlic to taste if necessary. Process again to blend any additional ingredients.
  4. Place in a bowl and allow hummus to chill. It tends to firm up while it chills.
  5. Serve with your favourite crackers or veggies or use as a spread in sandwiches or wraps.

5 Slim Down Tips to Get Bikini Ready

Summer (officially) will be upon us quickly. It tends to creep up rather fast and I know what you’re thinking.

New wardrobe!

Or maybe, you want to continue hiding in your joggers and long sleeves. I know my clients, many of who are losing weight at a healthy and quick pace, are excited for the heat. In fact, for the first time in years, many of them are excited to pull out their bathing suit and wear less clothes!

I love seeing their bodies transform! But more importantly, I love seeing their excitement to wear new clothes and feel comfortable in their own skin.

So if you’ve been hesitant to show more skin this summer and scared to jump into that bikini, don’t fret! Follow my simple tips below that I share with all of my weight loss clients to prepare them for the summer months ahead. In as little as 3-4 weeks, you can transform your body and your health with simple tweaks.

Do these 5 things NOW to quickly get your body summer ready…

1. Eat More Veggies: Your mom was right, eating vegetables really is a good idea, especially when preparing to shimmy into a bathing suit. Why? There are a couple of reasons. First, veggies are low in calories and high in fiber, which means that you’re filling up without packing on pounds. Second, the vitamins and minerals in fresh vegetables nourish your body, cut down on cravings and support detoxification. Aim to eat at least 2-3 cups of vegetables at each meal. Your plate should be full of veggies. I tend to find most people fill their plate with carbohydrates and protein and forget the vegetables all together. Plus, all that fiber will help to keep you regular and flush out toxins through your bowels.

2. Give Yourself Just 10 Minutes: Each week, between now and your beach debut, I want you to give yourself 10 minutes to workout. Now… do I want you exercising and moving your body for longer than 10 minutes? Well of course! But when you’re feeling sluggish and tired, give yourself just 10 minutes and I guarantee you’ll get those endorphins flooding your system that you’ll want to push through for another 10 minutes. It’s all about getting started and that I know you can do!

3. Double Up On Water: Not only will staying extra hydrated help your skin to have a healthy glow, it will also speed up your fat loss efforts. Most of us are walking around in a state of chronic dehydration, which contributes to fatigue, stubborn weight gain, constipation and aging. No one wants that! By drinking more water throughout the day, and by limiting your intake of caffeinated beverages, you’ll become healthier, more radiant, and sexier in that bikini. Aim for at least 2-3L of water a day.

4. Eat Low Carb (after 5pm): One of the easiest ways to drop a few inches around your waist before the warm weather hits is to eat low carb after 5pm each day. This means eating dinners that are centered around salads and vegetables rather than breads and pastas. Aim to consume your carbs, such as fruit, wheat free oats, quinoa or sweet potato earlier in the day and keep your dinners, lean, mean and green! And yes, fruit is sugar, which means it’s a carbohydrate. Why not try swapping your dessert for a 1/2 cup of fresh berries if you really need that sugar fix in the evening?

5. Balance Your Hormones: Weight loss is really dependant on hormonal health. If you’re eating high carbohydrate foods, constantly skipping meals or eating too often, you send your blood sugar on a constant rollercoaster ride. This can have you reaching more for food and just not feeling satisfied. Protein and healthy fats are where it’s at to help balance out your blood sugar. Be sure you are eating high quality protein at every meal and consuming some avocado, olive oil, coconut oil or ghee with your meals. Also, if you’ve been known to constantly eat every 2-3 hours, you might want to read my latest article about why it’s a bad idea! Click here to read now.

Stress can also effect your weight loss efforts. Cortisol, your stress hormone, can pack on the pounds around your belly. If you’re constantly rushing through your day, always feeling behind, multitasking through a million things, overworked, exhausted and well… stressed; then there’s a good chance your cortisol is running on high.

Cortisol is important for the maintenance of blood pressure as well as the production of energy. It’s what helps you rise in the morning out of bed and when lower at night, allows for you to fall asleep. Cortisol stimulates fat and carbohydrate metabolism and stimulates insulin release to help with the maintenance of blood sugar levels. The end result of these actions can be an increase in appetite. More cortisol and more insulin means you want more food.

The good news is that you can manage this by addressing your stress and lifestyle and making the conscious effort to eliminate the biggest stressors in your life. Yes I know, that’s easier said than done, but it is absolutely necessary if you want to increase energy, lose weight and maintain your overall health.

Work with me – if you’ve been looking to finally lose the weight and manage your imbalanced hormones, then let’s set up some time to discuss your goals. Check out my Metabolic Weight Loss Program for more info or email me at – samanthagladish@gmail.com. Together, we can design the perfect plan for you and get you summer ready!

Foodie Fridays – Sweet Potato, Beet & Arugula Detox Salad

This is a delicious and satisfying salad that not only fills you up as a main, but offers many nutritional and detoxifying benefits.

Beets are incredible blood cleansers and contain naturally occurring nitrates, which are converted into nitric oxide in your body. Nitric oxide helps to relax and dilate your blood vessels, which not only improves your blood flow, but helps to lower blood pressure! Plus, they contain potassium and magnesium, two minerals that help to support heart health.

Sweet potatoes are rich in carotenoids; plant compounds that protect your cells from damage. You can tell fruits and veggies are rich in these compounds by their colour. Yellow, orange and bright red are all indicators of antioxidant rich carotenoids. Sweet potatoes are also rich in vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps to support heart health, plus it’s an anti-aging vitamin that can keeps your skin young, vibrant and wrinkle free!

And believe it or not, sweet potatoes contain even more potassium than bananas!

Now let’s talk about arugula. This peppery green is incredibly alkalinizing and supports liver detoxification. It belongs to the brassica vegetables (just like broccoli, brussel sprouts and cauliflower) and contains powerful detoxifying compounds such as sulforaphane and indole 3-carbinol. What does this even mean? Bottom line, it helps your liver to metabolize and breakdown excess estrogen, which in turn, helps to protect you against breast or ovarian cancer. Amazing right?

Many of my clients suffer with excess estrogen, otherwise known as estrogen dominance. Suffering with PMS, breast tenderness, excess weight, bloating and swollen lymph nodes can all be signs of estrogen dominance. It’s important to help flush this excess estrogen from your system to improve hormonal health and support the liver. This salad, along with other brassica vegetables and a lot of fiber can help you reduce excess estrogen and restore balance to your body.

This salad can take minutes to prepare IF you have leftover roasted sweet potato and beets on hand. Two foods I typically like to roast a lot of to have on hand for easy, grab and go meals. Otherwise, roasting your veggies will take a little bit of time, but it’s so worth it! Be sure to make extra and keep them in your fridge to enjoy as leftovers.

As with any salad, you can use whatever veggies you have on hand. It’s a great way to clean out your fridge. Feel free to get creative with this recipe by adding in cucumbers, celery, tomatoes or your favourite nuts and seeds.

Happy Foodie Friday!

Enjoy your detox salad 🙂

You can place the beets in the foil onto the same tray as the sweet potato to roast at the same time.

5 Foods That Are Making Your PMS Worse

It comes and goes with a vengeance. Or sometimes, it comes and goes with ease. Maybe it’s so erratic that you really don’t know what to predict.

I’m talking about your period. Your monthly flow helps to flush toxicity from your body, it’s the reason you are a WOMAN and most importantly, can allow you to make a baby! Your period is powerful.

I dreaded my period back in my teenage days. I mean no one wants to get their period when it’s long weekend and everyone’s getting ready to party and you’re curled over with cramps, feeling bloated and your mood swings are fierce! It’s not pretty.

But like all the other teenage girls, I went on the birth control pill and completely shut down my endocrine system, ovulation and impaired my gut health and created deep hormonal chaos. You can read more on that story by clicking here and learn why the pill is ruining is your health.

The pill never really “solved” my PMS. I was still popping advil and using a hot water bottle to ease my cramps. Not to mention the bags of chips I would demolish in an attempt to fix my erratic cravings. Salty? Sweet? I wanted both!

I never really paid attention to what I ate during the month, or how it could relate to my PMS. It wasn’t until studying nutrition and adopting the Qualitarian diet that everything came into perceptive. I ditched the pill and healed my hormones, with food.

I also learned the very foods I needed to avoid in order to balance my hormones and heal my PMS for good. So if you can relate to this story, which I’m sure so many women can, I highly recommend you ditch these 5 foods that are making your PMS worse. (*they are also causing weight gain, unstable moods, digestive upsets, fatigue, aging and impairing your liver).

So listen up ladies…

It’s time to grab the bull by the horns and heal your hormones naturally by eliminating these inflammatory culprits from your diet. High inflammatory foods cause hormonal chaos, spike insulin levels, lower immunity and make PMS symptoms worse.

You Ready?

FOOD CULPRIT #1 – Sugar. Ugh! I know you’re sick of me talking about ditching the sugar, but this inflammatory food is impairing your liver, spiking your insulin and is the very reason behind your cravings, irritability and mood swings. Now when I say sugar, what I am referring to is a high concentration of fructose + glucose, such as soft drinks, candies, sweets, baked goods, breakfast cereals (yes, I know, I said cereal! It’s high in sugar so ditch it), fruit juices, large amounts of fruit, honey and chocolate (typically milk chocolate). Starches in the form of sweet potato, quinoa, squashes and rice are ok to eat. They still fall into the “carbohydrate/sugar” category but are much more nutritious then eating baked goods and cereals. Stick with these dense, more nutritious starches are you’re golden.

FOOD CULPRIT #2 – Wheat. I’m sure you’ve heard that gluten and wheat are the root of all evil. And well, for some, it most definitely is. It really all depends on the state of your digestive health. If you are a celiac or suffer with crohn’s or colitis, then you most definitely need to ditch the gluten. The problem with our wheat today is that it is hybridized. It is NOT produced the traditional way and contains a ton of herbicides and pesticides. I use gluten and wheat interchangeably here because wheat contains gluten, so if you avoid one, you avoid both. Wheat is an inflammatory food and most people find they suffer with bloating, gas, digestive upsets, headaches and migraines and some women who have ditched the wheat, have found a dramatic improvement with their cycle and pre menstrual symptoms.

FOOD CULPRIT #3 – Dairy. Second to wheat, dairy is a very common food sensitivity. Aside from the antibiotics and hormones which you are eating and drinking, dairy contains a protein called A1 casein. This protein is inflammatory and over stimulates your immune system. As a note, A1 casein is found primarily in Holstein cows and very small amounts in Jersey cows, goats and sheep. With my one-on-one clients I eliminate dairy to help calm down the inflammatory response which in turn helps to support a health menstrual cycle. Also, I eliminate dairy in ALL my clients who are suffering with eczema, acne, sinus infections and asthma.

FOOD CULPRIT #4 – Vegetable Oils. Soy, corn, canola, cottonseed, safflower and sunflower oils are cheap, contain toxic trans fats and are highly inflammatory. These cheap oils increase your Omega 6 fatty acids. Although omega 6 is important, we want to ensure we get these fatty acids from nuts and seeds instead. Too many Omega 6’s will throw off the delicate balance to Omega 3’s which are anti inflammatory and needed for a healthy hormonal response. Replace these oils with grass fed butter, ghee, coconut oil, fish oil, avocado and olive oil.

FOOD CULPRIT #5 – Alcohol. Your liver is your main detoxifying organ and one of it’s many jobs, is to metabolize hormones. Alcohol will slow down your livers ability to detoxify, which in turn will slow down how effectively you eliminate and metabolize excess hormones. Alcohol is also highly estrogenic and 2 glasses of wine a night can increase your chances of breast cancer by 250%!!!! That.Is.Crazy! Eliminate or drastically reduce your alcohol intake and if you’d like to enjoy a glass of red or white on the weekends (notice I said GLASS, not glasses), try mixing it with some kombucha.

Make the effort to reduce or eliminate these foods from your diet and your hormonal health will improve drastically. PMS symptoms is all about managing hormones and being able to provide our body with the right nutrients and support throughout the entire month, not just 1 week prior to your period. An easy breezy period with little to no PMS symptoms is a sign that your hormones are in a good ratio, healthy and happy.

Women are often confused as to what they can eat to optimize their hormones. In my book, The Qualitarian Life I provide a delicious and healthy meal plan with over 60+ recipes you can choose from. All recipes are great for supporting your hormones and are free from all the inflammatory culprits. You can get my book by clicking here. It’s a digital book and can be downloaded instantly.

If you’re looking to dive deeper into healing you hormones, easing your menstrual cycle, regulating your cycle, reducing or eliminating your PMS symptoms or thinking about ditching the pill, feel free to reach out to me at samanthagladish@gmail.com. We can set up a 20 minute consult call to discuss your health and outline the best approach and protocol for you.

In the meantime, comment below and let me know how you manage your PMS symptoms, what foods you need to eliminate and what your PMS cravings are! I’d love to know 🙂

Cheers to healthy & happy hormones

Detoxify or Die

Detox is not as scary as you think! Trust me. But it is definitely something we need to be more conscious of and understand.

In fact, I’m reading a book right now by Dr. Sherry A. Rogers, titled Detoxify or Die. It was actually published in 2002 and I’m just getting around to reading it now. It’s a pretty intimidating title!

Dr. Rogers dives into the importance of why we need to detox and helps you to become aware of the many chemicals and toxins lurking in our environment and food.

There have been many books published since then outlining why detoxification is so important and along with that, there have been some very interesting ways and methods to detox! From saunas, to enemas, to raw food cleanses, juice cleanses and 72 hour fasts; it’s no wonder we’re all confused about health and what it means to truly take care of our bodies!

You know how nice it feels to drive your car home after getting a tune up? The oil is squeaky clean, the fluids have been topped off, windshield wipers have been changed, tire pressure is at that perfect level, and it’s been washed inside and out? Well, just like our cars need a tune up, a seasonal detox allows our bodies to become shiny and new again too.  It allows our body to reboot our metabolism, boost our immunity, clears the cobwebs from our minds, gives our skin a chance to glow, and allows us to lose weight effortlessly.

After 10 years of studying detoxification and putting ALL my clients through specific detox protocols (because let’s face it, we are all exposed to toxins and need to clear them), I’ve developed the best nutritional detox protocols and herbal therapies that have helped my clients tremendously. In fact, a detox program has been profound for my clients who have been struggling with infertility.

Some people are afraid that a detox will be too hard. In fact, I often find my clients let their mental clutter get in the way of truly achieving the health and body they so badly desire.

I’ve heard all the excuses! From I have to paint my house, to my husband doesn’t approve of this, to I don’t have the time, to I just don’t have the money… I’ve heard it all when it comes to people holding themselves back from moving forward in their life and putting their health first. I know you want to be happy, feel energetic, vibrant, and full of joy. I know that your bloated tummy, all consuming sugar cravings and constant fatigue won’t go away on it’s own unless you address it.

So how do you address it? Easy.

By eating real, whole foods and making yourself a priority. It’s that simple.

You don’t need to run out and buy the latest detox kit, some magic supplement or expensive enema kit. By incorporating simple and effective detox techniques and using food as medicine, you can detox easily and on the cheap!

Here are 5  simple and effective detox tips that you can implement today to start feeling more vibrant, less bloated and more energized:

  1. Start your day with warm water and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. This is a simple way to detox the liver and increase bile flow
  2. Drink more water – you need water to help flush toxins from your system. I personally am a big fan of spring water. You can locate a spring near you at www.findaspring.com
  3. Eat more fiber – from fruits and veggies, to psyllium, flax and chia, there are many great ways to increase your fiber intake. You need fiber to help bind to toxins in your gut to help flush them out. This is where the water really comes in!
  4. Sweat! An infrared sauna is one of the best ways to release deep rooted toxins. Search for one in local gyms or spas near you. Otherwise, exercise, steam rooms, and hot baths are great ways to sweat and get those toxins out!
  5. Ditch the sugar – ok, I know this one is hard but it’s necessary. Start to cut back your intake and pay attention to the hidden sugars lurking in many packaged foods. Artificial sweeteners are a big no-no too! Sugar impairs your liver and gut from detoxifying effectively.

Luckily for you I’m launching my Qualitarian Spring Detox next week! My 21-day detox contains over 100+ recipes, an easy to follow meal plan and a complete detox guide explaining the ins and outs to detoxing. Oh! You’ll also get my 3-day juice and smoothie cleanse, my Qualitarian Life ebook and exercise guide too! All the tools necessary to take the guess work out of how to detox, what to eat and what supplements to take.

You will NOT feel deprived. We are going to keep it simple and eat wholesome, nourishing foods. The only thing you have to lose is some unwanted pounds, dark circles and puffiness under your eyes, and that feeling of lethargy that has been dragging you down. You will discover your blueprint for the foods that work for your unique body and I’ll be there cheering you on every step of the way!

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter (you’ll receive my best breakfast recipe book) and we’ll keep you in the loop as to when the detox launches. (Hint hint – cart opens April 7th)

In the meantime, implement my 5 tips above and get started detoxing and energizing your body today!

Cheers!

St. Paddy’s Day Fresh Detox Pesto

Growing up I loved my mothers homemade tomato sauce. In fact, I still do. It was so fresh and light and made the house smell amazing.

Over the years, as I started to learn more about food and nutrition and with my mother having developed an autoimmune condition and suffering with inflammation, I learned that tomatoes and many night shade veggies, like peppers and eggplant, can aggravate autoimmune conditions and make inflammation worse!

It’s true. Even though many of these veggies are incredibly healthy and delicious, they do contain certain compounds that increase inflammation. I would suggest if you are suffering with inflammation (joint pain, arthritis, etc) and/or an autoimmune disease, specifically rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia; eliminate all night shade vegetables for 3 weeks, then reintroduce them back into your diet to see how you feel. This would include: potatoes, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, tomatillos, goji berries, hot peppers and paprika.

This is where Pesto comes into the picture!

This incredible herb blend is delicious and so full of flavour! In fact, it contains many potent and detoxifying herbs to help cleanse the liver and support inflammation. That’s a huge win in my books! The herbs in this pesto are so powerful they can actually help to chelate (pull) toxins and heavy metals out of your system!

Pesto is so easy to make and can be used in many dishes. For a quick week night meal, I like to mix it into zucchini noodles or quinoa pasta, or use it as a salad dressing. It’s even amazing as a dip with raw veggies and homemade flax crackers.

This detox recipe is taken from my upcoming Qualitarian Spring Detox, which is launching on April 13th! I can’t wait! You’ll find so many incredible detoxifying recipes in the detox plus the recipe for the flax crackers 🙂 From smoothies, to juices, detoxifying salads and incredibly nourishing and filling entrees, this detox is sure to reinvigorate and renew your health.

I’ll be sharing my best detox tips and tricks and can’t wait to jump onto a live webinar with all the spring detoxers and answer all your pressing questions.

Anti-inflammatory Turmeric Tea

This immune elixir is full of incredible benefits.

Let’s break it down:

Turmeric, which contains the active ingredient Curcumin is an anti inflammatory powerhouse that helps to ease muscle and joint pain, protect the heart and reduce inflammation as a whole. So if your dealing with any type of “itis,” such as colitis, arthritis, cystitis, burstis… you get the idea; turmeric can help!

Curcumin has also been shown to have anti cancer properties. “Some proponents believe it may prevent and slow the growth of a number of types of cancer, particularly tumors of the esophagus, mouth, intestines, stomach, breast, and skin” according to the American Cancer Society.

This incredible spice is also an amazing detoxifier, helping to support the health of the liver. In fact it is incredibly effective at increasing bile release, which helps with fat digestion.

Speaking of liver health, it is common for people experiencing skin issues, such as eczema, psoriasis or acne to have a congested liver. Drink this tea to help cleanse and detox the liver and in turn support the health of your skin.

Enjoy this Turmeric Tea anytime throughout your day. You can feel free to strain the ingredients into a mug, but I personally like the thickness of it.

Happy Sipping! 🙂
